Bonsai, shaped by hand in Charleston.

Over twenty years at the bench. We sell a tree only when it is ready to leave.

Most of the work is waiting.

We wire in late winter, in copper or annealed aluminum, and take it off before it marks the bark. A branch cut in October has recovered by April. A tree is ready after years of that, and those years are what a collector takes home.

One tree, every season.

Repotting follows the species, not the calendar. The pot is chosen last, once the tree has shown what it is.
